We are taking part in technical committees for developing Operation Chamartín, now known as “Madrid Puerta Norte” which Madrid City Council’s Department of Sustainable Urban Development has set up in order to reach an agreement between the different parties involved in the process: the City Council, ADIF (the Ministry of Public Works, owner of a large percentage of the land), the Castellana Norte District (DCN, developer of the “Castellana Extension” APR.08.03 and the Fuencarral-Malmea Industrial Compensation Board (owner of the land in the area of the old UA-2 Malmea Industrial Estate, including in this area) which we represented at these board meetings.
This participation process is agreeing the organisational criteria that will form the basis on which the new proposal for organising this land will be defined, together with the basic parameters for drawing up the urban development instruments allowing the actual development of the different areas marked out.
